All White Rooms

After a long day at work, you just want to come home and relax. What better way to relax than color therapy in your home. White is a color of purity, light and airy. I know I know, you're all thinking white is easy to get dirty. But think about how rewarding the outcome of it will be. An all white house resembles the relaxing qualities of clouds bringing a sense of calm. It's neutral color is bright and clean, making rooms appear larger and more unified. My small room is actually white walls with white tables, not an all white room, but it does really make me feel more relaxed. The color is not too bright and distracting or too dark and depressing. It's the perfect color for instant relaxation.

These rooms literally lights themselves up. Since they are stunning white rooms with minimal or neutral colors, there is no distracting pieces to stop your line of vision and the space instantly opens up. This makes the rooms appear larger, cleaner, and less cluttered. White is a neutral color which goes perfectly with wood flooring. Together they flow naturally and don't take away from the relaxing quality. White is a color that symbolizes freshness. Nothing can be hidden within these white rooms. It takes an ease off your mind and clears your thoughts. It has a beach-like quality to it. Just by looking at these rooms, I can hear the ocean, see the sand, and feel the sun. Color is not prohibited in these rooms, just remember to keep them neutral like black and gray, or color in moderation. Having an all white house will surely clear your mind and keep you stress free making you happier and more joyous!

Fun and Cute Cakes

It's no secret I love food art. I spent most of college watching Food Network shows like Food Network Challenge and my all time favorite, Ace of Cakes. Both of them specialize in custom cakes of epic proportion. I watched in awe of the time consuming process awaiting the end product. Where else can you watch a beautiful cake constructed from start to finish? I get really into this too. My heart drops every time a cake falls or break apart during a challenge. But I'm not going to lie, my evil side looks forward to seeing these cakes break or fall apart. I sound like a horrible person, but honestly, this makes for good television drama. It makes the show more authentic, considering this is what really happens in the real world. Pink Cake Box reminded me so much of these shows. They have some of the cutest and creative cakes I have seen lately. They create all kinds of custom cakes for baby showers, weddings, birthdays and specialties. Whatever you want, they can create.

Favorite Boy's "Dump Truck Cake".

Check out this dump truck. The details on it are amazing. At first, you'd probably think it was a toy, maybe a sculpture. Never in your wildest minds would think this was a cake. It was made for a groom who owns a truck company so the look and details had to be exactly perfect. I love everything about this cake, but my favorite is the mud piles created out of Oreos! It's hard to judge scale from the picture, but this truck comes out to be an astonishing 20 inches. That's almost 2 feet long. Larger scaled cakes really make a statement and bring the "wow" factor.

Girl's Theme Cake (Birthday/Sweet 16)

This cake screams celebration! The neon color palette is bold, girly, and fun. You know there's a party if you see this cake. The patterns and flowers accentuate the cake perfectly and the toppers create a more dynamic, exciting cake.

A baby's first birthday is quite a milestone. Why not make it a celebration and get a cake to remember. This birthday cake is stunning. The color palette is girly, but not too overpowering. The details in this cake from the beads to the bow, to the patterns give this cake character and make it even more special than it already is.

This sweet 16 cake is sweet all right. I love the play off of the word "sweet" and including candy into the mix. It's fun, quirky, smart, colorful, and lively. It represents what every 16 year old girl tends to be. The pastel color palette is neutral enough to portray a sense of fun, sweet and whimsy without being too saturated and bright.

Baby Shower

Baby showers are a time for celebrating new life and new adventures. The color palette of both these cakes are different, but both still state baby shower. The top yellow cake is bright and clean, symbolizing purity and new life. The bottom pastel cake is more traditional in the lines of baby colors. Both of them are unique and adorable. The cupcakes are more modern than the traditional one piece cake. Whichever cake you choose for a baby shower or party will be a winner.

Special Customize Cake

This sandwich cake was made for a sandwich shop in Denville, NJ and has to be my favorite. It just plays tricks on your mind and taste buds. Initially you see a sandwich, thinking you'll be tasting bread and ham. But then you eat it and it's cake. A crazy unique experience if you ask me. So whether you're celebrating a birthday, sweet 16, wedding, baby shower or whatever, go big. Don't settle for store bought cakes. There are more exciting, customizable, personal cakes out there. They'll surely make a statement and your special event be definitely be remembered thanks to one of these.

Lori Koop Ceramic

Individualism, sincerity, perfection. Three things we all try to strive for and gain as we grow older and wiser. Continuing with the theme of handmade, Lori Koop is one of the most gifted ceramic artists and has become one of my favorites. She tries to incorporate the characteristics of what we strive for in life into her ceramic pieces. Starting each work is an organic process. Nothing is planned. Ceramic, like most art, is a feeling. In this feeling, the clay works around and evolves itself into something sincere and unique. It's organic, original and imperfect. In this imperfection, these pieces find their perfection. Each piece has their own characteristic and story behind them. It's up to the viewer to interpret them and find out what each says to them.

Bowls, bowls, bowls. What more can I say. These bowls are full of character and are absolutely adorable. They may not be shaped perfectly, but that's what creates their individualism. I would love to have a set of these displaying on my tabletop. They will definitely draw attention and create some buzz.

Mugs

The finishing details on these mugs are simply charming. Putting buttons and zippers is something you'd put on clothing or accessories, but never have I seen them on mugs. This is innovative and rare. Pairing these mugs with the bowls on your tabletop will create a beautiful dining experience.

If you aren't already sold on these stunning bowls and mugs, check out these decor. Each piece is distinctive and ridiculously adorable. The simply neutral color palettes bring a sense of tranquility making the atmosphere cooler and calmer. They will formulate a mood and ambiance. It will be up to the viewer to interpret the rest. Koop has found a way to incorporate all of our life's goals into her work. This brings human qualities to inanimate objects which gives them character. Out of trying to create works organically each piece is imperfectly perfect, like all of us.

Beautiful Papergraphic Design

Wow have I got something quite unique and spectacular for you all. Browse through the pictures below before you continue reading. Okay did you see them? How do you think they were made and what in what medium? Personally I thought it was Photoshop embossing. But to my surprise it is actually cut and shaped paper art, known as quilling. Yeah I had to look over these images again. They were absolutely stunning. From a young age Yulia Brodskaya had a passion for paper. She took this passion and combined it with illustration and design. This resulted in what we see today. Beautifully hand-crafted paper graphic design. The details in each piece is just mind-blowing. I can barely cut paper, sometimes it's not even straight, let alone curve them and keep them in that form.

I still can't get over the fact that these are shaped pieces of paper. I love the effect that these create. They add a sense of dimension that has depth and individual style. Each piece sets its own tone and is unique in its own way. Imagine the process of making these. It involves a much needed amount of patience, time, and a really steady hand. For more info and amazing works from Brodskaya, check out her website here!
